Abu Dhabi is tendering for a developer to build, operate and co-own a 40% stake in a 350MW solar PV park located in the nation’s Sweihan region.
The remaining 60% stake will be owned by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority, who will buy the plant’s output under a long-term contract.
The winning bidder or consortium will be responsible for the development, financing, construction and operation of the Sweihan solar park.
The closing date to express interest in Adwea’s 12th IPP tender is 13 January 2016. Adwea will select a bidder by mid-2016.
