Acciona Energia has completed an 8500kW solar plant as part of a green hydrogen project on Mallorca.
Spanish EPC outfit Colway Energia built the Lloseta PV plant on behalf of Acciona, which forms part of the Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca project, led by Acciona Energia and Enagas.
Colway Energia was responsible for the design and execution photovoltaic plant, located in the town of Lloseta, and built the facility in six months.
The PV plant will supply electricity for the Power to Green Hydrogen Mallorca consortium project.
During the PV plant’s construction phase, Colway Energia assigned a team of 12 engineers who carried out the execution, quality, monitoring of the project and commissioning.
The Lloseta green hydrogen plant project will generate 300 tonnes of green hydrogen per year, produced one hundred percent from photovoltaic plants in Lloseta and Petra.
Industrial production of renewable hydrogen at the plant will be carried out gradually and as the infrastructure and equipment for consumption become available.
The project’s electrolyser has already completed technical commissioning tests.
