Canadian Solar has secured power purchase agreements totalling 80MW with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
The power will be delivered from projects awarded to Canadian Solar under a 450MW solar capacity tender in the state of Maharashtra.
The projects are scheduled to start operations in late 2017.
Canadian Solar chairman and chief executive Shawn Qu said: “This investment adds to our India pipeline that stands at 110MW.”
