China Exim Bank’s China-EEE Fund has acquired three solar parks in the Czech Republic totalling about 6MW from US utility ContourGlobal.
The fund, which targets opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe, has been particularly active in the renewable energy sector.
The deal is China-EEE’s second clean energy investment in the country. Dentons advised on the deal.
China-EEE, with committed funds of $435m, acquired wind farms in Poland in 2014 and 2015.
