Construction group Multiplex Europe has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) covering 10MW of output from a 15MW solar farm to be built in the UK.
The PPA, with additionality, is for 10 gigawatt-hours a year of clean electricity, enough to power Multiplex’s UK operations, including construction sites.

The renewable energy plant is targeted to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2023.
The developer and the solar farm is undisclosed.
The corporate PPA is one of the first of its kind for construction in the UK, where a construction player will procure renewable electricity directly from a dedicated renewable energy producer.
