Q Energy and Dutch solar developer Tomorrow Energy have entered into an agreement to co-develop 21 solar projects, totalling 300MW, in the Netherlands.
The portfolio is open for the potential integration of storage, agrivoltaic, and green hydrogen solutions.
Both companies have signed an agreement to co-develop 21 solar projects which range between 4MW and 40MW in size all expected to be built and grid connected within the next three years.
The mostly greenfield projects are spread across the Netherlands with a majority located in the southern part of the country.
Q Energy is a new green energy player on the European market and a direct affiliate of South Korea’s Hanwha Solutions.
The 300MW portfolio adds to Q Energy’s 12GW development portfolio in Europe.
Hakkan Yildirim, Managing Director of Tomorrow Energy, said: “We are both happy and proud to partner with an experienced player like Q Energy to co-develop the 21 projects.
“We both seek holistic solutions for our projects, which makes the partnership a perfect fit for us. This portfolio will make an important contribution to achieving the ambitious renewable energy targets of the Netherlands.
“Thus, it will bring us an important step closer to fulfilling our mission of making the country more sustainable.”
