Dominion Virginia Power is on track to complete by the end of the year three large-scale solar facilities totalling 56MW in Virginia.
The 19MW Woodland project in Isle of Wight county will consist of 80,000 solar panels.
The 20MW Whitehouse plant in Louisa county will have 83,000 solar panels, while the 17MW Scott project in Powhatan county will comprise 77,000 units.
More than 800 construction jobs have been created by the projects, which will be completed on budget, Dominion said.
The company also has two more projects pending regulatory approval.
One project is the 20MW Remington facility in Fauquier county, which is being developed in partnership with the Commonwealth of Virginia and Microsoft.
The other is the 17.6MW Oceana plant in the City of Virginia Beach in partnership with the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Department of Navy.
