Duke Energy has completed a 17MW solar plant at the US Navy’s Naval Support Activity (NSA) Crane facility in Indiana.
The project, which is located 64km south of Bloomington, consists of about 76,000 modules spread over 59 hectares.
Duke Energy built, and will own, operate and maintain the solar facility for NSA Crane.
Duke Energy Indiana president Melody Birmingham-Byrd said: “We are pleased to partner with the Navy on a project that will deliver clean energy to Indiana customers, and improved energy security for the Navy.”
