EDF Renewables North America has signed solar agreements with Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) by which I&M will add 425MW of solar energy to its clean energy mix.
I&M, a subsidiary of American Electric Power, will purchase the output from the 180MW Sculpin solar farm under a 30-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
EDF will also purchase 100% of the equity interests in the 245MW Lake Trout Solar, following completion of construction activities under a purchase and sale agreement (PSA).
Combined, these two projects are expected to generate approximately 880,000 megawatt hours of clean energy annually.
“We are very pleased to partner with I&M and to contribute to its goal of delivering carbon-free energy to its customers,” said Eric Spigelman, Senior Director, Origination & Power Marketing at EDF Renewables.
