EDPR has secured a contract for difference (CfD) for a 25MW solar project in Hungary.
The CfD is for a period of 15 years and the project is expected to be built in 2022 and commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The latest solar project will take EDPR’s solar pipeline in Hungary to 75MW, after entering the market last February with a 15-year CfD for a total of 50MW.
The CfD for the 25MW project is valued at €42.5 per megawatt hour.
Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade, CEO of EDP and EDP Renewables, said: “EDPR has secured new capacity in Hungary, which reinforces our interest in continuing to grow in this European region.
“Furthermore, the fact that these new projects are photovoltaic solar parks It highlights our technology diversification strategy on the road to energy transition, which will undoubtedly benefit Hungarian society.”
