Renewables developer Elgin has broken ground on three solar projects in Ireland, totalling 21MW.
The projects are located in Oldcastle, County Meath, Edgeworthstown, County Longford and Kilmacthomas, County Waterford.

These projects are three of 16 sites that Elgin plans to begin construction on in 2024.
Speaking on the announcement, Emmet Clarke, Head of Engineering, Procurement and Construction at Elgin, said: “This portfolio of solar farms reaching construction is a major achievement for Elgin.
“It showcases the effective collaboration between Elgin and our partners at AFRY, Enerpower powered by Greenvolt and TLI Group, and with our landowners.
“We are excited to see these projects come to life and set the stage for future developments.”
