First Solar and EDPR have signed a multi-year order for 1800MW of First Solar’s thin film photovoltaic (PV) solar modules.
The units, which will be delivered up to 2028, will power US projects developed by EDPR North America (EDPR NA).

The continent is EDPR’s biggest market in terms of installed capacity and production, where the company operates 475MW of solar projects, has 1.6GW of solar capacity under construction and has a robust solar development pipeline.
EDPR plans to add 4.8GW of solar capacity in North America in 2023-2026.
