First Solar is to sell MCE electricity from the 40MW Little Bear photovoltaic facility in Fresno County in California.
The project, which is designed to be built out eventually to 160MW, is expected to start construction in 2019 with commissioning in 2020.
Community-based electricity provider MCE also has an option to buy the project’s full 160MW as the load increases.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
