Engineering company g2 Energy has completed grid connection work on more than 47 solar farms across the UK in time for the 31 March tariff deadline.
The work was wrapped up between October and March alongside separate work by the company on 18 wind turbine projects and one large-scale plant that generates energy from waste material.
In all, the company has completed work on 66 UK-based renewable energy projects since October, with a combined generation export capacity of more 430MW. It brings g2 Energy’s total generation capacity up to 1.33GW since 2011, the company said.
The most recent work involved providing a substation and installing over 3,459KM of high-voltage cable.
g2 Energy said the work was completed on time despite the company facing adverse weather conditions and certain site-specific challenges.
