German module manufacturer AE Solar has opened a new 500MW a year factory in Georgia.
The company said it plans to expand the facility to up to 1.2GW in the future.

SE Solar chief executive Alexander Maier said: “The 500MW factory in Georgia is the first chapter in AE Solar’s expansion plans for 2019-2020.
“Thanks to better costs and ambitious initiatives we are planning to double our current capacities till 2021 and start cell manufacturing in Europe.”
