ENcome Energy Performance has acquired German outfit abakus solar to expand its operations and maintenance business in the UK and Germany.
The acquisition raises ENcome’s European solar plant servicing portfolio to about 800MW, of which 300MW is in the UK and 250MW in Germany.
The company said it plans further acquisitions via a “Buy&Build” strategy.
The German operations of abakus have already been transferred into the new company abakus Engineering based in Gelsenkirchen.
The companies did not reveal any more details of the deal, which is still subject to few conditions that are expected to be fulfilled within the coming weeks.
The deal was arranged by private-equity company SolarKapital.
ENcome Energy Performance managing directors Robin Hirschl and Burkhard Söhngen said: “With abakus solar we have found a company that perfectly fits ENcome in its business model, innovative capacity and its highly motivated and qualified personnel.”
