Strata Solar will start in the first quarter of 2016 installation of two 10.6MW solar plants for Alabama Power at the Anniston Army depot and Fort Rucker Army base.
The build date was set following the go-ahead from the Alabama Public Service Commission.
Alabama Power awarded Strata Solar the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the projects.
Strata Solar chief executive officer Markus Wilhelm said: “We are thrilled to be providing these high-quality solar projects to Alabama Power that together will put both the Anniston Army depot and Fort Rucker Army base closer to their energy independence goals.”
