Joint venture partners Quercus Assets Selection and Swiss Life Asset Managers have completed the acquisition of 77MW of Italian solar.
The companies said today they had closed the deal to acquire Italian company Antin Solar, which was initially agreed late last year.
Located in Lazio, Sicily and Puglia, Antin’s Azienda Solare Italiana solar portfolio consists of 9 projects and brings Quercus’ European portfolio to 266MW.
The company’s chief executive Diego Biasi said: “We are very proud to have partnered with a valuable operator like Swiss Life Asset Managers on this landmark deal for Quercus. Azienda Solare Italiana is one of the best portfolios on the Italian market, and it provides a major platform from which we can capture further growth opportunities in a highly fragmented Italian market.”
