Japanese investment house SoftBank has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia to develop an up to 200GW solar project in the Middle Eastern country by 2030.
The project, which would be built in stages, would cost about $200bn, according to a Bloomberg report.
Approximately 100,000 jobs could be created by the development, the report added.
