JP Morgan Asset Management said investors it advises have acquired the outstanding shares in solar power producer Sonnedix Group, which has a total operating capacity of 353MW.
The deal, for which a value was not disclosed, comes two years after the companies partnered to pursue opportunities in the solar energy market.
Sonnedix currently has operational projects in Europe, South America, Asia and Africa and a 600MW development pipeline of projects either in construction or pre-construction in Japan and Chile.
“As this deal shows, institutional investors are increasingly recognizing the stability and value of solar generating assets,” Sonnedix chief executive Andreas Mustad said.
