Low Carbon has brought nearly 240MW of large-scale solar capacity into operations in the UK over the last year.
The company said it advanced seven projects across Warwickshire, Essex and Shropshire, including Feldon Vale (49.9MW), Maldon Wycke (25MW), Layer (49.9MW), Birch (39MW), Long Meadow (19MW), Braintree (35MW) and Pepperhill (21MW).
Low Carbon added that the projects collectively produce enough electricity to power more than 64,000 UK homes annually while avoiding almost 70,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
The announcement follows Low Carbon securing nearly 130MW of capacity in the government’s AR7 Contracts for Difference auction, taking its total secured capacity in recent CfD rounds to more than 1GW.
Low Carbon last year secured around £1.1 billion of investment from CVC DIF and several international banks to support expansion of its solar, onshore wind and battery storage portfolio.
