Martifer Solar together with joint venture partners have signed an agreement with Canadian Solar for a 63MW solar power project in Aguascalientes in Mexico.
The JV, known as Mire, also includes Energía ECG, SAPI de CV and Ithaca Environmental Ventures Limited to develop projects in Mexico.
The partners started developing the project at the end of 2015 and it is excepted to be operational by the third quarter of 2018.
Electricity generated will be sold to Comisión Federal de Electricidad under a 15-year power purchase agreement at $47.95/MWh, with a 20-year deal for clean energy certificates.
