Yemen’s Ministry of Electricity and Energy and Masdar have signed an agreement relating to a 120MW solar project in the country.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Electricity, Mana bin Yamin, the local authority in the interim capital Aden, represented by the Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and Masdar executives.

The agreement provides for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 120MW as well as transmission lines and transformer stations.
Survey work for the power plant started a month ago.
