OX2 has secured a contract to develop a 51MW solar farm in Poland following a government auction.
The project will be located in the Pinczowski and Buski districts of Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship and will be the company’s third solar farm in the country.
Construction is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning planned between late 2027 and early 2028.
Once operational, the solar farm is expected to generate around 55GWh of electricity annually, enough to supply approximately 22,000 households.
In December 2024, OX2 won 205MW of capacity in Poland’s renewable energy auctions, including a 40MW wind farm and a 165MW solar project.
The company also secured a 200MW capacity obligation for two planned energy storage facilities during Poland’s 2029 capacity market auction.
