PNE has sold two solar farms in Romania and US with a total capacity of 280MW.
The 81MW Romanian project is located in Oradea and was developed to construction maturity and then sold to Econergy International.
Econergy will take over the further realisation of the plant.
The 199MW US project located in the state of Utah is in an early development phase, PNE said.
It said the unnamed customer is a leading operator in the US.
A second phase is possible for this project, which could increase capacity to 398MW.
The duo are the first PV projects that PNE has sold as part of its expanded business model.
PNE management board chair Markus Lesser (pictured) said: “The sale of these two photovoltaic projects is a milestone in the strategic development of our business model and proves that we are on the right track.
“In addition to wind energy, we are now also developing photovoltaic projects – at present in seven countries in Europe, the US and South Africa.
“At present, we are working on PV projects with a nominal output of well over 1000MWp.
“Together with our partners, we are thus making an important contribution to the global energy transition.”
