Poland is forecast to reach a total installed solar photovoltaic capacity of nearly 27GW by 2025, according to the Institute for Renewable Energy’s (IEO) eleventh edition report on the country’s PV market.
Between 2022 and 2025 Poland is expected to install 14.4GW, at a CAGR of 21%.
Installed capacity has already exceeded 12.4GW, from 7.7GW in 2021, showing a growth rate of 61%.
Commenting on the results of the report Minister Ireneusz Zyska, Government Plenipotentiary for RES, said: “Our ambition is to become a leader in the development of photovoltaics in Europe in the coming years.
“And it is not only about the increase in installed capacity year on year, but above all about building a photovoltaic industry based on innovative Polish technologies, whose products will gain customers on domestic and foreign markets.”
In the discussion panel accompanying the press conference, the results of the report were summarised by representatives of the report’s partners, consisting of BayWa r.e., Corab, EDP, mBank, Alseva, Huawei, OX2 and Polenergia Fotowoltaika.
