Solar developer SunEdison delivered a record 640MW in the third quarter of 2015, an increase of 343MW year-on-year.
The company has 2.9GW of projects under construction, up 1GW quarter-over-quarter, and 7.9GW in its pipeline.
The pipeline was down 220MW quarter-over-quarter, but up 5.2GW year-over-year. Net additions to pipeline projects were 420MW, the company said.
SunEdison chief executive officer Ahmad Chatila said: “During the third quarter, we continued our track record of execution within the development business by delivering over 600 MW, more than double versus the prior year.
“In addition, we made the difficult, but necessary decision to optimize our organization in the face of the current market conditions within the yieldco space.
“These changes will not only set up the business for long-term success, but also should position the development business to generate positive cash flow in mid 2016.”
SunEdison unit TerraForm Power reported adjusted revenue of $153m, adjusted EBITDA of $126m, and CAFD of $71min the third quarter.
In the third quarter, it acquired 34MW of contracted solar power plants from SunEdison located in the USA.
The TerraForm Global unit reported revenue of $29m, adjusted EBITDA of $24m, and CAFD of $24min the third quarter.
