Recurrent Energy has awarded PV Hardware (PVH) the contract to supply solar trackers for its 426MW Rey solar complex in southern Spain.
The agreement concerns the Rey solar project (pictured) in Carmona, Seville.
PVH will supply its AxoneDuo Infinity solar trackers for the project, which is due to become operational in December 2025.
Jaime Vega, VP of Business Development at PVH, said: “We are very pleased to be working with Recurrent Energy on this important project.
“This alliance is essential to consolidate PVH’s position as the leading supplier of solar trackers in the region.”
The Rey Solar project will feature more than 610,000 solar panels.
Cesar Cerezo, Senior Director of Global Procurement at Recurrent Energy, said: “We are delighted to reach this important milestone in our commitment to sustainable energy through our partnership with PVH.
“The successful commercial operation of the Rey Solar project represents a critical step towards global decarbonization, advancing our vision of a cleaner and more sustainable future.”
In June 2024 Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, signed a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with GKN Automotive, covering 115MW of output from the Rey project once operational.
