RES has completed construction of the over 57MW Tanglewood solar farm in the US state of Georgia for Origis Energy.
The 57.5MW project is one of the facilities under the Georgia Power Renewable Energy Development Initiative (REDI) serving the utility’s customers participating in the Commercial and Industrial REDI programme.
RES said Tanglewood adds to RES’ track record of building utility-scale solar in Georgia and represents its first construction partnership with Origis Energy.
Construction, which began in May 2019, employed over 250 people at peak periods.
RES senior vice president of construction Tim Jordan said: “RES is very pleased to have a part in delivering more clean energy to Georgia, and we are proud of our partnership with Origis Energy.”
Origis Energy EPC managing director Scott Shively said: “RES was an outstanding partner. They exceeded our expectations to deliver this large-scale solar project on time and under a compressed schedule.”
