Ridge Clean Energy has secured Contracts for Difference for four projects in the UK AR7 auction.
The successful schemes are Fair Oaks Renewable Energy Park in Nottinghamshire at 49.9MW solar and 50MW BESS, Six Oaks Renewable Energy Park in Cambridgeshire at 35MW solar and 50MW BESS, Sunny Oaks Renewable Energy Park on the Isle of Wight at 18MW solar and 28.5MW BESS, and Three Oaks Renewable Energy Park in East Riding of Yorkshire at 39MW solar and 50MW BESS.
The company said the projects are designed to contribute to local communities while delivering renewable generation and storage.
Betsy Glasgow-Vasey (pictured), power markets director for Ridge, said: ‘All four projects are designed to create an important contribution to the local community. We will continue to deliver locally as we build and operate our renewable energy parks at the same time contributing local business rates and construction jobs.
Ms Glasgow-Vasey added: ‘As a UK-based SME, we see a substantial opportunity for renewable companies to make a meaningful difference across the country by using skills locally to help the Government achieve a successful roll-out of the £15billion Warm Homes Plan by 2030. As we work to deliver our CfD projects, we will lend our expertise to help nearby communities make the most of this national endeavour, as well as provide key community benefit funding to answer local needs.’
