RWE Clean Energy has signed long-term PPAs with Dominion Energy Virginia for seven solar projects totalling 300MW in the state of Virginia.
The solar plants comprise two already in operation, one under construction and four under development.
“We are pleased to be able to support Dominion Energy in reducing its CO2 footprint through projects in its home state of Virginia and thus also bringing the industry closer to its net zero goal,” said Mark Noyes, CEO of RWE Clean Energy.

The projects are the 20MW Pleasant Hill site in Suffolk, seit the 20MW Watlington Solar site in Halifax County, the 75MW Wythe County Solar site, under construction, with planned commissioning in 2024, the 69MW Switchgrass Solar project, in Suffolk County, in Entwicklung, a 52MW project in Chesterfield County, under development, the 15MW Groves Solar site in Westmoreland County, in Entwicklung and the 15MW Harrisonburg Solar site in Rockingham County, in Entwicklung.
RWE Clean Energy is the long-term owner and operator of the projects.
