Statkraft has agreed to divest its renewables development activities in the Netherlands to local supplier Greenchoice.
The deal includes 120MW of operational solar capacity, a portfolio of solar, wind and storage projects, and the transfer of Statkraft’s development team.
Closing is expected in autumn 2025.
Statkraft executive vice president Barbara Flesche said: “I am very pleased that we have agreed to sell our portfolios of solar, wind and storage projects in the Netherlands to a company which will use this business as a platform for further growth.
“It is equally important to me that our competent and dedicated staff will get new opportunities with a good employer.”
She added: “Greenchoice shares our commitment to renewable energy and sustainability, and we are confident that this transaction will contribute to the green energy transition in Europe.”
Statkraft said it will continue its market operations in the Netherlands but will scale back its hydrogen activities.
The companies did not disclose financial terms.
