Trade group ISEA rebrands as Solar Ireland

The Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) has officially rebranded as Solar Ireland.

The rebrand reflects the scale of growth in Ireland’s solar industry and ISEA’s commitment to representing the sector through data-led policy engagement, public education, and practical support for members.

The rebrand coincides with a leadership transition. Following the recent announcement that Conall Bolger will step down at the end of May, Ronan Power (pictured) has assumed the role of interim chief executive.

Power said: “Solar Ireland is a platform built for growth, for advocacy, and for impact.

“Our focus remains on empowering our members, expanding the role of solar across Ireland, and representing the sector with integrity, ambition and technical excellence.”

Commenting on his departure, Bolger said: “Solar Ireland reflects who we are today – a clear, confident voice for a sector that is central to Ireland’s future.

“It has been a privilege to help lead this transformation, and I look forward to seeing Solar Ireland continue to thrive under fresh leadership and with the continued strength of its membership community.”

Recent achievements include the publication of the Scale of Solar report, the Association’s flagship Solar Ireland Conference, campaigns like No Rooftop Left Behind, and the continued rollout of practical member tools like the Irish Solar Hub newsletter and a newly upgraded membership structure.

Solar Ireland says it will continue to deliver value to its 150-plus members by advocating for fair and efficient market, planning and grid systems; engaging policymakers and stakeholders with data-driven insights; supporting members with practical tools, expertise, and leadership opportunities, and promoting best practice across the sector.

The company has launched a new website providing an enhanced platform for members and the wider public to engage with Ireland’s solar future.
