Trinasolar has begun construction of a 21MW solar plant in northern Spain in partnership with local developer Norsol.
The project will deploy 29,172 Vertex NEG21 modules and 495 Vanguard 1P trackers, designed to withstand heavy snow loads of up to 1210Pa at the site, which sits more than 800 metres above sea level.
Trinasolar said it is supplying modules, trackers and installation services under one package, covering design, engineering, construction and commissioning to reduce project complexity and minimise interface risk.
The scope also includes 11 self-consumption installations with batteries to provide shared energy for municipal buildings in León.
Gonzalo de la Viña, president of Trinasolar Europe and Latin America & the Caribbean, said: “By combining our Vertex modules, Vanguard trackers, and installation services, we are working to deliver a solar plant designed to operate reliably under challenging site conditions.”
Trinasolar added that the initiative underlines its role as both a technology supplier and full-scope partner, supporting Spain’s energy transition goals.
