Boom Power has begun working with local landowners and National Grid on a 400MW solar farm development near Howden in East Yorkshire, England.
As part of this development, the company has secured an export grid capacity at the Drax power station also in Yorkshire.
The East Yorkshire solar farm will increase Boom Power’s renewable pipeline, projects either in development or producing electricity now, to more than 2GW.
It would be deemed a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP).
Boom Power have partnered with law firm Pinsent Masons and infrastructure consulting firm Aecom to support the development through the NSIP planning process and achieve a development consent order for the project.
