Vattenfall has decided not to start construction of the 38MW Panderweg-Oost solar park in the Netherlands as originally planned in April 2026.
The company said the decision is linked to uncertainty surrounding the associated wind farm planned as part of the Energiepark Echteld Lienden development.
The solar and wind projects are intended to share the same grid connection that still needs to be built, Vattenfall added.
The developer noted that the permit for the wind farm is not yet irrevocable and no subsidy has yet been granted for the project.
Vattenfall said it will now assess the potential impact of the delay on the solar park’s awarded SDE subsidy.
The company will also review implications for the joint grid connection for the solar and wind projects and the overall schedule for the energy park.
Vattenfall added that the review will be carried out with relevant stakeholders including grid operator Liander, the province of Gelderland and the municipality of Buren.
