Yingli Green Energy Europe and Polish company R Power are to expand their joint project development pipeline in Poland to 60MW up from 30MW.
The two companies aim for a total of 60MW of ground-mounted projects to be ready for inclusion into the country’s auction systems in 2016 and 2017.
Each party will have a 50% stake in the projects, with the intention of selling them to investors once operational.
The two companies said that development of the projects is well underway with the first bundle of projects already at advanced stages.
Yingli Europe Poland project director Manuel Seiffe said: “The extension of this strategic partnership exemplifies Yingli Europe’s successful global downstream project development business and strategy, which centers on identifying strong local partners to collaborate with in key regions of the world for project opportunities.”
