Danske Commodities is adding Volker Beckers and Anne Broeng to its board of directors.
Beckers (pictured) was most recently group chief executive officer for RWE Npower and has knowledge of the UK energy markets.
Broeng is a member of several boards and was previously group executive vice president and chief financial officer at the PFA Group.
Danske Commodities last week signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm.
Danske Commodities chairman of the board Peter Ravn said: “By adding Volker Beckers and Anne Broeng to the board of directors and growing the board from four to six members, we have ensured that we have all of the most important skills and relevant experience represented in the board.
“With the opportunities we see in the energy markets, we are convinced that the timing is right for Danske Commodities.”
Beckers said: “Through my experience with European markets, I am confident that we will further develop the company, focusing on innovation and transformation of the energy sector in general.”
