RWE has expanded its power purchase agreement with ASML to around 130MW of renewable capacity and extended the deal until 2038.
The company said the agreement builds on a partnership signed in 2021 and covers power from the Belgian Northwester 2 offshore wind farm and its Dutch wind portfolio.
RWE added the supply will include electricity from the OranjeWind offshore wind farm and the Kattenberg, Zuidwester, Westereems and Oostpolderdijk onshore wind farms in the Netherlands.
ASML will use the renewable electricity to power its facilities in the Netherlands.
The agreement was structured with support from Dutch consultancy Energie Makelaar BV.
“We are delighted that ASML continues to rely on RWE as a trusted partner for sustainable energy solutions,” said Ulf Kerstin, chief commercial officer at RWE Supply & Trading.
“Increased digitalisation is significantly boosting the need for electricity.”
