Vestas is to cut 400 jobs at its nacelle production facility in Lindo, Denmark.
The OEM said it has taken the move after increasing efficiency at the site, which manufactures components for the V236 offshore platform.

“It is therefore expected that approximately 440 positions, primarily in production, will be made redundant,” a spokesperson said.
“It is always difficult to make decisions that negatively affect our skilled and hard working colleagues, but we must ensure that our organisation reflects our production requirements.”
The spokesperson added: “We will explore options for redeployment to other Vestas locations in Denmark for the affected employees.”
Vestas employs around 7000 people in Denmark.
