Windar Renovables will build a second wind turbine tower manufacturing facility in Poland at CTPark Legnica.
The company said the plant will include nearly 29,000sqm of industrial and warehouse space and almost 41,000sqm of outdoor storage, with production scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
CTPark Legnica added the facility will be capable of producing up to 200 onshore wind turbine towers annually, equivalent to more than 1000MW of capacity.
The plant will primarily serve the Polish and German markets and will include four production halls, a raw materials warehouse, an outdoor storage area and office space.
The production lines will enable manufacturing of tower sections up to 40 metres in length, weighing up to 80 tonnes and with a diameter of up to 6.5 metres.
The project is expected to create up to 300 jobs and will be located within the Legnica Special Economic Zone.
“Poland is undoubtedly a strategic logistics location for supplying wind turbine components to the entire Central European market,” said Pelayo Berjano, managing director of Windar Onshore Poland.
“We are very pleased to have partnered with CTPark Legnica to make this project happen.”
“The project for Windar Onshore aligns with CTP’s strategy of developing advanced industrial ecosystems that go beyond the scope of standard warehouse facilities,” said Krzysztof Moryson, head of construction at CTP Poland.
“A partnership-driven approach and a deep understanding of heavy manufacturing allowed us to design infrastructure that will become a vital link in the European renewable energy supply chain.”
