Stargate Hydrogen has signed an agreement with Seacht Group, marking its first partnership in the UK hydrogen market.
The company said the deal supports its expansion into the UK and aims to secure green hydrogen projects with the UK-based energy and engineering group.
Seacht Group added the collaboration combines Stargate Hydrogen’s ceramic-based electrolysis technology with local market expertise to advance project development.
The UK is seen by Stargate Hydrogen as a key market for decarbonisation through green hydrogen across industry and energy systems.
The agreement was announced at the Hydrogen UK Annual Conference & Awards at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham.
“The UK is a strategic market for us, and we need strong local partners with the necessary experience to support project development,” said Marko Virkebau, chief executive officer of Stargate Hydrogen.
“This agreement reflects our intention to establish a long-term commercial presence in the UK.”
“Green hydrogen is expected to play a growing role in the UK’s transition to lower-carbon energy,” said Robert Kelly, chief operating officer of Seacht Group.
“By partnering with Stargate Hydrogen, we are combining advanced electrolysis technology with local market knowledge to help move hydrogen projects forward.”
