Bernhard Schulte Offshore (‘BSO’) has taken delivery of the commissioning service operation vessel Windea Carnot.

The ship was built at Ulstein Verft in Norway on behalf of an institutional investor and handed over to its owner Bernhard Schulte Offshore following completion.

The vessel was christened on 6 March 2026 and is the third of three sister ships built at Ulstein to join the company’s fleet since the middle of last year.

Bernhard Schulte Offshore now operates six specialised vessels serving the global offshore energy industry.

“The offshore market offers promising prospects,” said Matthias Müller, managing director at Bernhard Schulte Offshore.

“Therefore, we are pleased to have added ‘Windea Carnot’ to our portfolio.”

“The Ulstein design, characterised by reliability, flexibility and innovative features, is very well received by the offshore industry.”

The vessel features Ulstein’s TWIN X-STERN design intended to improve manoeuvrability, reduce vessel motions and enhance fuel efficiency.

The CSOV also includes hybrid battery propulsion and is prepared for potential future use of methanol fuel.

Windea Carnot can accommodate up to 90 offshore personnel in single cabins and is equipped with a walk-to-work gangway, helideck and a 3D motion-compensated crane with a lifting capacity of up to 5 tonnes.
