Ming Yang Europe has joined the Bundesverband Windenergie Offshore (BWO), Germany’s leading industry association for the offshore wind sector.
The company said the move strengthens its engagement with the European offshore wind ecosystem as the region accelerates offshore renewable energy deployment.
Ming Yang Europe added that the membership underlines its commitment to contributing to the expansion of offshore wind energy in Germany and across Europe.
The company also said it aims to contribute to industry dialogue while pursuing long-term investments in European manufacturing and supply chains.
Ming Yang Europe argued that achieving Europe’s offshore wind targets will require cooperation across the value chain including technology providers, developers, supply chain partners and policymakers.
“Offshore wind is a cornerstone of Europe’s energy transition,” said Horatio Evers, chief executive officer of Ming Yang Europe.
“We are very pleased to join BWO and to engage more closely with the German offshore wind community.”
“It is important that industry representatives speak with each other – not just about each other.”
“We look forward to working with partners and policymakers to support the development of a strong offshore wind sector and a fair market environment with a level playing field for all participants,” he added.
“I am very pleased to welcome Ming Yang Europe as a turbine manufacturer to the association,” said Stefan Thimm, managing director of BWO.
“BWO represents the entire offshore wind value chain – from project development and operations to component manufacturers as well as service and infrastructure companies.”
“Our objective remains to strengthen Germany and Europe as industrial locations, ensuring that the expansion of offshore wind energy goes hand in hand with value creation and employment,” he added.
