LAUTEC has been awarded a framework consultancy agreement to provide site QA/QC and HSE services for the 495MW Formosa 4 offshore wind farm in Taiwan.
Synera Renewable Energy said the contract covers quality and HSE personnel overseeing fabrication, manufacturing, assembly and installation activities across major project packages.
The scope includes foundations, cables, onshore and offshore substations and wind turbine generators.
Work will take place across multiple supplier locations in Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam and France.
Personnel for the project have been mobilised and active on site since February.
Formosa 4 will comprise 35 wind turbines located around 20 kilometres off the coast of Miaoli.
The project is expected to supply electricity for around 500,000 Taiwanese households once operational.
“We are very proud and honoured to partner with SRE on Formosa 4,” said Victoria Winsløw.
“Our dedicated and highly skilled team will utilize the valuable experiences built up across the key suppliers’ sites in the past numerous years to support this significant Taiwanese offshore wind project.”
