BELECTRIC has secured contracts to build four photovoltaic plants in the UK with a combined capacity of nearly 210MWp for Severn Trent Green Power.
The projects are located in Warwickshire, Shropshire, Yorkshire and North Yorkshire, with construction due to start in March 2026 and commercial operation scheduled between August 2027 and January 2028.
BELECTRIC, a member of Elevion Group, said the Warwickshire site will include designated skylark protection areas to support biodiversity.
The company added that the sites present engineering challenges including overhead power lines and gas pipelines crossing the project areas.
Jonathon Wroe, managing director at Severn Trent Green Power, said: “These are the first solar projects of scale that STGP is bringing forward, and they mark an important step in our long-term commitment to renewable energy.”
He added: “As we move into construction, our priority is to deliver these projects in a way that reflects the needs of the communities hosting them.”
Wroe stated: “We are committed to open communication and meaningful engagement throughout the build programme and beyond.”
Dr Thorsten Blanke, chief executive of BELECTRIC, member of Elevion Group, said: “We are proud to be partnering with Severn Trent Green Power on this significant portfolio of solar projects.”
He added: “Supported by the strong European platform of the Elevion Group, our team continues to demonstrate its capability to deliver large-scale solar power plants under complex conditions”.
