Voltalia has secured the 132MW Wadi solar project in the Gabes region of Tunisia.
The company said the award follows earlier wins for the Sagdoud and Menzel Habib projects, bringing its Tunisian build portfolio to nearly 400MW.
It added that the proximity of the three sites will allow construction, transport and maintenance synergies.
Construction of Wadi will begin in 2027 with commissioning set for 2028, the company stated.
Robert Klein, chief executive of Voltalia said: “We are very pleased to have been selected for this new project in Tunisia.”
He added: “This step not only strengthens our presence in a region with strong solar potential, but it also allows us to support the country’s energy ambitions more closely.”
“I would like to pay tribute to the remarkable work of our local teams: thanks to their expertise and commitment, we are making concrete and determined progress towards achieving the objectives we share with our Tunisian partners,” stated Klein.
