GRS O&M has secured an agreement with Solara4 SA, owned by Welink Energy, to provide operation and maintenance services for the 219MWp Solara4 photovoltaic plant for at least two years.
The company said the deal marks a milestone in its strategy to expand its portfolio with leading solar EPC contractors in its core markets.
It added that Solara4 is its fourth large-scale project in Portugal alongside Insua, Penamacor and Famalicao, with the agreement extendable to up to ten years.
Jesús Aguilar, director of GRS O&M, said: “Drawing on the confidence that comes from our extensive experience in photovoltaic projects, we are strengthening our presence in Portugal through this important and highly motivating project.”
He added: “We would like to thank Welink Energy for selecting our company to maximise the performance of Solara4 and deliver the best possible results in the years ahead.”
GRS O&M stated that it currently operates around 3.1GW of PV and battery storage assets across Australia, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Belgium, the United Kingdom and South Africa.
