Orlen Neptun has signed a reservation agreement with the Kołobrzeg Sea Port Authority to secure land for a service port supporting the Baltic West offshore wind farm.
The company said the deal strengthens existing cooperation and enables analysis and development of preliminary project documentation for the phase II development.
It added that the work will help select solutions best suited to implementing the Baltic West project and support future offshore wind activity in this part of the Baltic Sea.
The port is the closest available facility to the project location and currently meets infrastructure standards required for central Baltic offshore wind operations with CTV vessels.
Baltic West comprises four licences in the Oder Bank region, including 14.E.1 and 14.E.2 owned by Energa Wytwarzanie subsidiaries and 14.E.3 and 14.E.4 owned by ORLEN Neptun subsidiaries.
The project is the second phase II offshore wind development undertaken by the Orlen Group after Baltic East and has a planned installed capacity of about 4GW to supply clean energy for more than 5 million households in Poland.
All four areas are being prepared to participate in the Polish support system with full implementation due by 2040.
The projects hold permits to erect or use artificial islands, structures and equipment, as well as preliminary grid connection conditions.
Orlen Neptun plans to begin a series of location studies in the coming months, including environmental, wind and geotechnical surveys.
At the end of 2025, the company announced the success of its most advanced phase II project, Baltic East, which won support in the first Polish offshore wind auction run by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.
