RP Global is preparing to start construction of the Walcz wind farm in northwestern Poland after securing its final building permit.
The company said preparatory works will begin in early February with completion planned for the fourth quarter of 2027.
It added that the project will be one of the largest onshore wind farms in Poland and the second largest under construction this year.
“The Walcz project is an important milestone in Poland’s development of large-scale renewable energy facilities,” said Wojciech Glocko, country manager of RP Global Poland.
“It reflects our long-term commitment to delivering projects that are aligned with grid availability, local planning requirements, and national energy objectives,” Glocko added.
RP Global has signed a turbine supply agreement with Nordex for 21 N149 units rated at 5.9MW with 134m hub heights.
The company said Walcz is its first Polish project to advance following amendments to the 10H rule and forms part of a pipeline exceeding 3GW.
